Damage to your home is stressful and often unchartered territory for homeowners. We believe proactive communication is the key to successful partnership and returning your home to its pre-loss state immediately. That proactive communication starts here. Here’s an overview of what to expect when working with three:south:
Step 1: Response & Evaluation
This begins the moment you pick up the phone and call us. We will be onsite in an hour or less. Once on site, we work with you to determine the source of the damage. Once the source is identified, we develop a mitigation plan to address it. We will review the plan with you to ensure you understand the next steps and we’re all in mutual agreement. Once you authorize the work, we will begin the Mitigation.
Step 2: Mitigation
The goal of the mitigation is to stop the source of the damage and prevent further damage. As an insured, you have a responsibility to stop the damage. We take care of that for you. We also work to clear and extract water, debris, and / or sewage. This may also include content packing and moving items from the impacted area.
Step 3: Drying
Once mitigation is complete and the area is clear, the drying process begins. The drying process consists of the placement of drying and dehumidification equipment. The drying process can take 3-5 days. Our professionals monitor the moisture levels. Once dryness is achieved, according to industry standards, we remove the drying equipment and get into the fun part: returning your property to pre-loss condition.
Step 4: Estimate & Claimant Management
When there is extensive damage, an estimator may be required. The estimator will prepare an estimate of the cost to restore your property to pre-loss condition. We can work directly with the estimator using Xactimate, industry-approved software, to develop and document the estimate. This step can be ongoing throughout the life of the project. We work closely with you and your insurance company to ensure proper coverage is available and utilized to restore your property to pre-loss condition.
Step 5: Reconstruction
Once mitigation and drying is complete, we will agree on the project plan and accept a deposit. From here, we pull permits (if necessary), begin work and coordinate with the respective trades where necessary. We’re not only contractors, we’ve been clients too. We want your home to be exactly how you want it and know change orders are a part of the process to achieve that goal. Change orders can add time to the project, that might feel like a delay, but ultimately – those change orders are important to ensure your home is exactly how you want it.
Step 6: Project Completion
Once the project is complete, we will perform a walk-through to ensure all matters are handled and resolve any open items ASAP. We will also invoice you and / or your insurance company for any final bills.
Step 7: Share your Experience
Serving our customers and meeting and exceeding your needs is our main objective. We welcome you to take a few minutes to share that experience with others and spread the three:south love. Click here to submit a review on our website.
